Coop Szolnok allowed to purchase Héliker

The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) gave Coop Szolnok the permission to purchase Héliker Commercial Ltd. Coop Szolnok has entered into a contract with Héliker on 5th March 2009 to obtain 100 percent of its shares.

Both companies are considered to be rather significant in the retail-business, but their interest in the country-wide retail area is less than one percent each. The Hungarian Competition Authority decided to give the permission because of this above-mentioned reason, as the two companies merging barely reach the 2 percent share of the country's entire retail-business.
