The Biopackpro Kft. has developed a compostable packaging
The Biopackpro Csomagolástechnikai Projekt Kft. developed compostable organic packaging material from polylactic acid (PLA) in the scope of the New Széchenyi Plan (ÚSZT).
For project implementation, the company won 421.25 million HUF grant in 2009 to the 842.5 million HUF development in the scope of the Central Hungary Operational Program (KMOP).
In the EU, an average of 24,7 million tons of plastic waste is generated annually. 42.1 percent of this is dumped, 57.9 percent is utilized, so the biodegradable packaging material will be a great invention. (MTI)
