Bioenergy has great potential
K&H and Agrár Európa Kft.’s Agriculture Club invited Heinz Kopetz, president of the World Bioenergy Association to talk about Hungary’s great bioenergy potential by comparing our situation to other countries’. The event’s other speaker was Dr Imre Németh, president of the Hungarian Bioenergy Competence Centre, who revealed that more than HUF 600 billion worth of EU funding is available for bioenergy projects in the current budgetary period. We need to make progress in this domain as the proportion of energy import is 75 percent in Hungary – for instance in Poland it is only 25 percent.
