LG presented a serious monitor
LG Electronics (LG) continues to expand its B2B medical technology offer. The new member of the portfolio, 21HQ613D, was recently approved for sale in the United States by the FDA. Specially designed for digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis, the 21HQ613D is a 21.3-inch, 5-megapixel (MP) IPS diagnostic monitor that displays high-definition X-ray images and ensures stable image quality through its calibration sensor and software.
The 21HQ613D offers exceptional resolution and brightness: its IPS display provides a resolution of 2048 x 2560, a luminance of 1100cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1800:1. The diagnostic monitor for viewing different types of medical images, including breast MRI, CT and ultrasound, has an internal front sensor that eliminates the need for an external calibration device. With LG Calibration Studio Medical software, doctors can conveniently perform DICOM calibration and quality assurance tests that meet international quality control standards for medical displays.
The 21HQ613D also features useful features to help healthcare professionals examine clinical images more closely, such as Focus View and Pathology Mode. Controlled by mouse or keyboard, Focus View allows users to focus on a selected section of the image while the rest of the screen fades out – making that area more visible. Pathology mode provides a clear and precise image as if the user were looking through a microscope. Visibility is also aided by the fact that healthcare workers can adjust the screen resolution to the type of image displayed, quickly switching between 5, 3 and 2 MP sizes.
