Colombia to Increase Coffee Production
Colombia plans to increase coffee production to 17 million 60-KG sacks by 2014, the government said.
The effort
will carry an initial cost of $724.5 million, Agriculture Minister
Andres Felipe Arias told reporters. The Andean country produced 12.21
million sacks of coffee last year.
Colombia is the world's third biggest
coffee producer after Brazil and Vietnam.
