Collective layoffs announced at two clothing companies in Székely
Two clothing companies in Székelyföld are carrying out collective layoffs, economedia.ro reports, based on a statement from the Covasna County Employment Agency (AJOFM).
Textila Oltul SA in Sepsiszentgyörgy will stop production and terminate the employment of 55 of its employees. The layoffs will take place between October 30 and November 10.
Secuiana SA in Kézdivásárhely will get rid of 91 employees, 87 of whom work in production. The layoffs will take place from October 16.
“The situation in the case of Textila Oltul is particularly tragic, as some of the people involved were recently dismissed from the RTG trouser factory, were employed at Textila, and now they are losing their jobs again,”
– said Tibor Kelemen, director of AJOFM.
Both companies justify the layoffs with decreasing orders.
