The Baumax leaves Hungary
The Baumax leaves Hungary in the second quarter of 2015 – the DIY chain announced on Wednesday. The company said in a statement that the 14 stores in Hungary will be closed until 14 April. The workers will receive adequate support, of which is in progress. The properties will be taken over and utilized by the XXXLutz Furniture Chain.
Michael Hürter, chairman of the board of directors at Baumax said that “We have always said that we want to stay in Hungary, however, due to the difficult economic conditions, we must focus all our efforts to the other three countries'and we have to say goodbye to Hungary.”
According to the communication, the company will focus on Austria, the Czech and the Slovak market, and want these countries to be in the top of its marketing concept. (MTI)
