McDonald's withdraw from Iceland
In a few days Iceland will stay without McDonald's: last two McDonald's fast food restaurants of the island will close on 1st November due to the high operating costs.
The Icelandic market was too small for the company to produce McDonald's quality raw material, so the company had to import these materials. But due to the weakening of the Icelandic krona, the supply costs have doubled.
McDonald's restaurants were present in Iceland since 1993. The operator said that the restaurant will be reopened on another name, with locally available food – reports Privátbankár.hu.
