Ostorosbor Winery addresses young people with wines that give value for money
Péter Kiss, chief winemaker of Ostorosbor told us that the company’s main goal is to make wines with an excellent price-value ratio – top quality wines at affordable prices. The young winemaker has been with Ostoros-Novaj Wine Zrt. since 2006. The winery owns three traditional cellars where about 11,000 hectolitres of wine is aged in ‘ászok’ barrels. Their rosé and white wines are made using reductive technology. With rosés they have already won awards at domestic and international contests. White wines they sell include Egri Királyleányka, Egri Csillag, Egri Chardonnay and Egri Italian Riesling. They use the Kutyahegyi Pincészet brand name to sell their premium category wines, e.g. Szélhegyi Cabernet Sauvignon, Kutyahegyi Zweigelt. Ostoros-Novaj Wine Zrt. sells 4.5-5 million bottles of wine a year, making wine from grapes grown on 400 hectares of land.
