The wines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were selected for 2013
Seven Hungarian wines won the wines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs title. As it was announced on Thursday in Budapest, the best entries will represent the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the ministry’s national and international events.
Winners:
Champagne category: 2005 vintage Prestige Brut cuvée of the Garamvári Szőlőbirtok,
Light white wine category: 2011 vintage Somlói Riesling of Csetvei Krisztina,
Full-bodied white wine category: 2009 vintage Kéknyelű of the Szeremley Borgazdaság,
Light red wine category: 2011 vintage Nagyapám kadarkája of the Eszterbauer Pincészet,
Full-bodied red wine category: 2008 vintage Elysium merlot of Tiffán Ede and Zsolt,
Late harvested wine category: 2004 vintage Főbor (furmint-hárslevelű mix) of Demeter Zoltán,
Aszú category: 2006 vintage Royal Tokaji, of Mézes-Mály.
