The Food Bank has received a honorary degree
The Food Bank (Élelmiszerbank) was received a honorary degree signed by György Habsburg, president of the Hungarian Red Cross.
In the letter, György Habsburg expresses the recognition and appreciation on behalf of the National Leadership of the Hungarian Red Cross for the support and excellent cooperation.
The recognition was given as the initiative of the Heves county organization of the Red Cross. The Certificate was taken over by Lajtai György member of the board on the 10th of May 2012 in Eger.
The Hungarian Food Bank Association aims to establish links between accumulated food surpluses and between people in need, thereby facilitating the reduction of poverty and hunger. The Food Bank each year collects millions of tons of food and distributes it to the needy, via partner organizations.
