High optimism in Germany
The economic sentiment index of the German ZEW Economic Research Institute increased significantly from the 4.3 point of December, to 15.4 points, while 6.8 points was expected.
The current appreciation sub-index increased by only 0.2 points to 82.8 points, which is 1 point below the expected value.
The German consumer spendings are largely supported by the stable labor market background. The German market participants hope that the global economic recovery continues – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
