GLS Hungary would expand in small settlements
During its future network expansion, GLS Hungary will pay special attention to smaller settlements – the package logistics service provider announced on Thursday, after the company’s 1,250th parcel vending machine was put into operation.
In the announcement, it was recalled that the number of parcel machines operated by GLS Hungary – the first among Hungarian providers – exceeded 1,000 in May this year. The service is currently available in 300 settlements, with the latest expansion increasing the slot capacity to 110,000.
With its network of 90 depots and more than 2,250 delivery points, GLS Hungary is available throughout Hungary, but in many settlements, customers do not have the opportunity to choose from flexible package logistics services, they wrote.
After a regional inspection of the parcel vending machine network, the company decided to pay particular attention to settlements with 2-4 thousand inhabitants during future expansions.
