Retail sales: decreased by 5.5, increased by 0.6 percent
The retail sales datas of January 2010, adjusted from the calendar effect, decreased by 5.6 percent, compared to the same period of last year, but rose by 0.6 percent, compared to the previous month.
According to the Central Statistical Office (KSH); in the national retail stores and mail order retail 489 billion worth of goods were distributed in January 2010. The 48 percent of retail sales were food and food related products, 17 percent was fuel, 11 percent were furniture, household products and construction materials, the remaining business models’common share was 24 percent.
