Kisfaludy2030: liquor stores in small settlements will receive quick help this year
The simple and easy application and minimal administration ensure that year-round liquor stores operating in settlements with fewer than a thousand inhabitants will receive effective, fast help this season through the tender announced on Wednesday and opening on Monday, the Kisfaludy2030 Tourism Development Nonprofit Zrt. told MTI.
The tender offers a non-refundable grant of 3 million forints, with a budget of 1 billion forints. Pubs, bars, and wineries can use the grant to finance development, equipment purchases, and operating costs.
The use of the funds is therefore flexible and can be used for wages, energy modernization, marketing purposes, kitchen activities, and the purchase of equipment serving the guest experience
– they wrote.
Businesses classified as liquor stores and bars by the National Tourism Data Service Center can apply for the call, which ends on April 3rd and can be accessed on the kisfaludyprogram.hu website – the announcement by the application manager Kisfaludy2030 Turisztikai Fejlesztő Nzrt. reads.
The call is not only significant from an economic perspective. Village pubs, wine bars and espresso bars – although they are a fundamental part of the Hungarian hospitality sector – function not only as catering establishments, but also as community spaces where people meet and talk to each other – they added.
“In addition to strengthening the population retention capacity of settlements, village restaurants also contribute to the performance of active and rural tourism. Many of the small village restaurants operate in villages located along well-known hiking trails – such as the National Blue Circle – and thus play an important role in serving travelers”
– the announcement quotes Anikó Suhajda-Molnár, CEO of nzrt.
