Praktiker opens smaller stores

In the midst of downfall of the DIY stores Praktiker begins a store opening wave and opens smaller stores instead of large sized businesses. The parent company’s capital was increased last week.

On Tuesday the twentieth Praktiker store was inaugurated in Sátoraljaújhely. In three weeks an another unit will be opened in Komárom. The company plans to open small stores in rural areas, where the big department stores are very far apart. The only requirement is that in the catchment area of the businesses the population should be at least 10-15 thousand.
