DuPont Pioneer produces corn seed in Hungary on a smaller area this year
DuPont Pioneer produces corn seed in Hungary on a smaller area this year – Nagy Lajos Central European Production Director of the group informed MTI on Tuesday.
Nagy Lajos told that the sowing area is decreased in 2014, due to the good harvest of the recent years, and due to the optimization of resources, but next year, the sowing area is expected to be increased again.
In 2013, the DuPont Pioneer was producing 85 kind of hybrids on 18,400 hectares in Hungary, with 230 seed producing partners.
DuPont Pioneer is one of the leading seed breeder and distributor company of the world. Last year, the company’s revenue was 8.2 billion USD. (MTI)
