More wheat has grown than last year, even on a smaller area

The Agriculture Ministry spends a total of, more than 13 billion HUF to moderate the frost damages of the spring. Food and feed wheat will be also enogh to supply the country – said Czerván György at the press conference of the Harvest Coordination Committee (AKB).

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM), responsible for agri-management told: there's an amount of wheat, that can be exported. The Autumn barley's harvest is complete, the yield is better-than-expected: 4056 kg harvested per hectare. The autumn wheat harvest is close to its end, 76 percent of the total area is harvested. The harvest will be better than last year's. It is estimated, that around 4 million tons of wheat will be transported into the storages – reports MTI.
