Smaller traffic – less fake
Due to the decline in international trade, less counterfeit goods were marketed in the European Union. According to the communication of Brussels, the volume of counterfeit goods declined by one third, compared to 2008.
The custom services of the EU distrained 118 million products, compared to the 178 million of a year earlier, Cigarettes and other tobacco products were roughly one-third of this.
The vast majority of the illegally copied products arrives from China, while Egypt is the main exporter of counterfeit toys – reports MTI.
