Nestlé’s chocolate Santas set off on their journey from Diósgyőr
In the Christmas season Nestlé manufactures 31 million chocolate figures in its Diósgyőr factory, which are sold in 23 countries on 5 continents. In the last 5 years Nestlé invested more than HUF 1 billion in modernising the production facility in Diósgyőr, Nestlé’s only factory that exclusively produces hollow chocolate figures. Director of the factory Jean-Pierre Polanen told that they are proud of the fact that these high-quality Hungarian products are also available in the shops of chocolate ‘superpowers’ such as Switzerland or Belgium. n
