Obligatory dynamism
Economic upturn is going at full speed in Germany, the rate of unemployment has not been this low for years (some say it has never been). What I saw from this was a highly successful trade fair, EuroShop in Düsseldorf. The number of exhibitors, visitors and the international composition of these two all broke earlier records – those who work in the profession shared the view that the market was unbelievably dynamic again. Strolling around at the fair I was enchanted by the various innovations and I was wandering: when will we see and feel the same? Which will be those domestic trade fairs where I will walk around with the same feeling? We are working hard to prepare for this year’s Hoventa and for Foodapest next February and we are looking ahead with great optimism, but somehow I had a different feeling in Germany. Everyone I talked with was really interested in the Hungarian market because they saw potential in us too, but when we ask our partners in Hungary everyone is just guessing about what the future may bring. I wish I saw as ambitious companies and market as in Düsseldorf and perhaps a high level of optimism may manifest in positive changes for everyone in Hungary as well. This is what I would like as a present from the Easter Bunny!
(You will find a detailed coverage of the EuroShop trade fair in the next issue of our magazine.)
