Tesco expands in China, in Central Europe, discount actions succeeds
Tesco bulids its first Chinese Shopping Centre as part of its expansion in China in Fushun city which has one million inhabitants. The discount actions in Central Europe succeeded.
The company is scheduled to open this year the 6 thousand square meters facility, which will contain fitness centers, parking lots, restaurants and also five hundred apartment houses. An additional four shopping centers will built in China this year, and then – if the project will be successful – further fourteen. Tesco currently operates 65 stores of the world's most populous country. On home soil Tesco introduced "discount" products last September as a response for the grip of rivals, Aldi and Lidl. The results in Britain are not yet available but in Central Europe mostly on the main market in Poland the actions are succesful – reports VG Online.
