China does not increase its import quotas for cereals
China will not increase its import quotas for cereals, which could make it difficult to comply with a sub-agreement expected to be signed next week to close the US-China trade conflict – according to the website of the South China Morning Post (SCMP).
The Chinese deputy minister for agriculture and rural affairs, who personally attended bilateral trade talks, said on Saturday in a forum in Beijing that a global quota for grain imports would be applied, and that this would not be modified for any country – the Caixin Chinese economic newspaper wrote on Tuesday.
