China buys American agricultural products
Chinese companies have bought agricultural products from the United States, and Beijing is in talks with Washington to prepare for the next round of bilateral trade talks in October – the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced.
Kao Feng, a spokeswoman for the ministry, said at a press conference: Chinese companies had bought significant quantities of soy and pork from the United States. The customs authorities had previously ruled that the products would be exempt from import duties on US imports. (MTI)
