China aims to be world's number one tourist destination
The current trends would suggest that until 2015 China will be the world's number one tourist destination – said Taleb Rifai, Secretary-General of the UN Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) in the southern Chinese island of Hainan.
Currently, most foreign tourists traveling to France, 80 million a year, follow by the United States and Spain, with 60-60 million travelers.
China receives about 48 million tourists. The UNWTO Secretary-General stressed that in the last ten years, China's tourism industry incredibly developed: the number of tourists increased to 48 million from 8 million in China – reports MTI.
