China, the land of opportunities
Hungarian companies are more and more interested in doing business in China. This is well indicated by the fact that more than 120 Hungarian businesspersons travelled to Beijing early this year.
The trip was organised by HITA and participants accompanied a high-level state delegation. Hungarian SMEs have the biggest chances for entering the Chinese market with meat and meat products, baby food, confectionery products and premium category wines. Businesspersons who wish to conclude deals with Chinese partners are advised to start by consulting the HITA website and the EU SME Centre for information. As the next step they can participate in trade events, seminars and conferences to get to know the representatives of Chinese companies and trade organisations in person – such events can be found on the HITA and the ChinaCham websites. It is also advisable to consult Hungarian diplomats in Beijing, Chongqing and Shanghai who specialise in foreign trade through HITA.
