EU food safety rules to be rectified
The European Union's food safety – animal and plant health – system as well standards for regulations on reproductive materials are world class, but the new challenges require continuous modernization – Kuster László member of the EU’s Health and Consumer Protection Directorate told in Budapest on Wesdnesday at a background discussion.
He said that the package on food safety rules revision serves this goal, which has recently been approved by the European Commission. The proposal would reform the rules and the related financing and regulatory control system. (MTI)
