Who will pay the ferryman?
The participants of the food chain put up this question literally in connection with the new toll payment system, planned from July.
The broadening of the road toll system will lead to cost growth for food producers and processors. It is a sectoral specificity that the agricultural and food processing activities are not usually carried out along the route, they have to pay for the shipment route even now, so this will cause additional costs.
Vámos György, General Secretary of the National Trade Association claims that if a retail business is making losses, and the costs of the companies will increase due to the new toll system, this will increase consumer prices as well. (by our colleague)
