AKI: The price of meat and meat products is expected to increase

Continuous price increase of meat and meat products is expected in the forthcoming months, despite the fact that the pig price increase could stop soon, because the recent period’s price increase has not yet been built in the meat transfer price – shows the recent analysis of the Agri-Economic Research Institute (AKI).

According to the compilation, published in the latest issue of Agrárgazdasági Figyelő; the price of live slaughter pig was 349 HUF in October, compared to the 292 HUF of last January, while on December 19 it was 390 HUF, which is more than 21 percent above the level of the previous year – reports MTI.
