K&H: many young people are unsure
In one quarter, the value of the K&H youth index clearly decreased from 14 points to 11 points, the financial institution announced. The second wave of the survey showed that, while the proportion of young people satisfied with their own lives decreased, that of those who were dissatisfied did not increase, i.e. more people have different opinions. Regarding the future, however, the optimists remained in the majority: 64 percent are optimistic, and 16 percent are pessimists.
A bit more restrained, but a cheerful outlook characterized the young people in the second quarter. The value of the K&H youth index decreased to +11 points from +14 points in the first quarter, which was a significant increase compared to the +2 points achieved in the last three months of last year, which was the lowest point of the surveys so far, K&H announced. Since 2012, the bank has prepared the youth index every quarter, which describes the material, financial and labor market situation of young people between the ages of 19 and 29, their current satisfaction with life and their future expectations.
