K&H: collaboration with the capital in the name of climate neutrality
Budapest Metropolitan Municipality and K&H Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote sustainable development, ecological sustainability and economic stability in the capital. The agreement focuses on climate protection, energy efficiency and support for green investments.
The Budapest Metropolitan Municipality has been an active participant in sustainability initiatives for years, aiming to reduce the impacts of climate change and to promote public awareness. In 2022, Budapest joined the European Commission’s “100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission”, which set the capital’s climate neutrality goals for 2030. Budapest is the 8th largest of the 100 EU and 12 other cities participating in the initiative.
“We have been prioritizing sustainability efforts for years, and the resulting cooperation provides financing opportunities that support residential energy efficiency programs, green investments, and sustainable urban development projects. Sustainability at K&H is intertwined with innovation, and we have long believed that this is the only way to solve the enormous challenges we face,”
– said Levente Suba, K&H’s Head of Sustainability, about the agreement.
For the signatories of the letter of intent, protecting and developing the natural environment, maintaining economic stability, and maintaining social well-being are essential to ensuring decent living conditions for future generations.
