K&H: Family companies are on a moderate growth path
More than half of family companies are experiencing the current economic situation more severely than the coronavirus epidemic. The mood is even more gloomy in the entire large corporate sector, where almost two-thirds of the companies feel this way – it was revealed from the research of K&H family companies.
The biggest problem for family companies is clearly the increased costs, but a significant part of them compensates for the difficulties caused by inflation by raising prices. As a result of the challenges, 6 out of 10 companies expect a moderate growth path in the next 3-5 years. In this difficult situation, it is even more important to value setting an example, which is why the K&H family companies’ excellence award recognizes companies that apply best practices in the fields of successful generational change, innovation, long-term strategy, and social and environmental responsibility.
More than half of family companies, 53 percent, are more severely affected by the current economic environment than the epidemic 2 years ago. Another 23 percent cannot distinguish between the two situations, as it has an equally negative effect on their operations. Looking at the entire large corporate sector, we get a slightly more gloomy picture: here, 62 percent of companies experience the current economic situation as a greater challenge, and another 17 percent see the two periods as equally difficult – it was revealed from the K&H family companies research, which examines the one-year expectations of family companies .
