K&H: The expectations of large companies are at a low point
With minus 15 points, the K&H large company growth index, which shows the expectations of large domestic companies, reached its lowest value so far. The companies are pessimistic regarding their own situation and the economy. It is a joy in the joy that the employment intention of the sector remains stable, compared to the previous quarter, neither hiring nor the proportion of companies thinking about downsizing has changed significantly.
The downward trend that characterized the expectations of large domestic companies in the past three quarters continued. The K&H large company growth index, which examines the expectations of Hungarian companies with a sales revenue of over two billion forints for the next one year, reached its lowest value so far in the third quarter, standing at -15 points.
“Even during the most critical period of the coronavirus epidemic, large domestic companies see the future more darkly. Exceeding the typical decrease so far, expectations have recently deteriorated to a large extent. Compared to the second quarter, the K&H large company growth index decreased by 12 points, which is the biggest drop in one quarter so far. The reason for this is that large companies see a gloomy picture of their own company’s prospects and the economy as a whole”
– presented the latest results, Gábor Rajna, head of the K&H Business Clients Division.
