K&H: low SME export activity
Currently, 23 percent of the domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) perform export and import operations, while another 6 percent of them engaged only in export activities – shows K&H’s SME research, carried out by polling of 350 CEOs.
According to K&H Bank’s communication sent to MTI on Wednesday, the main driving force of the Hungarian economy is the foreign trade for many years, in which the SMEs are taking part in very low ratio.
The export activities of the SMEs mainly focused on European countries. The SMEs are exporting in the largest proportion, to Germany (37 percent), while 30 percent of them are exporting to Romania, followed by Austria and Slovakia. (MTI)
