K&H: Almost two-thirds of businesses are planning development
The majority of domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, 61 percent, plan to make some kind of investment in the next year, according to the latest data of the K&H SME Confidence Index research. In terms of investment intent, IT developments are clearly at the top, but almost every fifth SME is thinking about purchasing machines and vehicles as well. The results also reveal that the IT developments are not expected due to the replacement of the workforce, but rather technological leveling is typical of those companies where the number of employees is not expected to decrease.
Hungarian businesses are not backing down, nearly two-thirds of them are planning some kind of investment based on the second quarter results of the K&H SME confidence index, which examines the expectations of Hungarian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for the next 12 months.
“Although the willingness to invest of 61 percent cannot be considered an outlier, since the rate of around 70 percent was typical until the second quarter of 2022, after the fluctuating expectations of the past two years, it is positive that we did not go below 60 percent again. In terms of the purpose of the developments, IT investments are still at the forefront, with which 29 percent of the companies are planning. This is followed by the purchase of machines and vehicles, with the former calculated by 21 percent of the companies and 19 percent of the latter”
– reported Németh Ildikó Oraveczné, K&H’s residential and SME segment marketing manager, regarding the expected expansion intention of the enterprises.
