K&H: four thousand HUF pocket money is enough for less than three hamburgers
The products included in the children’s inflation basket – including cocoa snails, hamburgers and backpacks – cost a total of more than HUF 39,000 this October, which corresponds to an annual increase of almost 11 percent. However, this corresponds to a significant slowdown compared to the previous 21 percent increase in prices, according to K&H’s compilation.
The financial institution would like to draw the attention of the youngest to the fact that it is worthwhile to delve into financial matters as soon as possible, so that they are aware of this area as soon as possible. And K&H Vigyázz helps them with this, ready, money! playful educational material for this year’s competition series announced for students.
In recent months, inflation has declined from previous peak values. This spring, the rate of annual inflation was still well over 20 percent, and by October it had slowed to 9.9 percent. In practice, this means that the prices of many products are no longer rising at the same rate as before. The slowdown in inflation can already be seen in the prices of products that are also popular among students – it is clear from the K&H compilation, which examined the development of “child inflation”.
