While fringe benefits are used in a decreasing extent among the smaller SMEs, fringe benefits still remain a popular form of compensation at the vast majority of large enterprises. Among the various items of cafeteria meal and transport contribution continue to be the most popular items – shows the research of the K&H SME confidence index.
The quarterly K&H SME research involving 500 domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises shows that not even half of the enterprises, only 47 percent calculate with some form of the fringe benefits. This rate is well below the 2008 peak period, when 80 percent of the SMEs used some kind of fringe benefits.
