K&H: 2022 was the year of confrontation
The management of medium-sized and large domestic companies has an open and sensitive approach to the issue of sustainability, but few actions follow their words. K&H’s sustainability index points out that in the unfavorable economic situation, corporate programs will certainly suffer postponement. According to Suba Levente, head of K&H’s sustainability program, it is a positive development that the sustainability index did not fall, but even rose a little – by 2 points to 40 points.
From the point of view of sustainability, the year 2022 can be safely called “annus horribilis”, i.e. “horrible year”. Droughts and increasingly frequent natural disasters have made it clear that climate change is creating dramatically new life situations. Energy and food prices have risen significantly.
“It’s a joy in joy that the cumulative crisis phenomena have focused attention on sustainability goals”
– says Suba Levente, head of K&H’s sustainability program. Ordinary people, company leaders and politicians alike are starting to take the climate crisis seriously.
