No shopping list
Comparing POPAI’s general (2012) and hypermarket (2014) shopping habit studies reveals that in the USA fewer consumers use shopping lists – this is especially true for large-floor space stores. Back in 2012 only 13 percent of consumers didn’t take shopping lists with them but by 2014 this ratio grew to 34 percent. It is also noteworthy that fewer people used any kind of media to gather information in advance – 62 percent didn’t do so at all in 2014
