Hungarian companies spend less on advertising
According to the list price datas of Kantar Media, companies in Hungary spent 4.4 percent less on advertising in the first half of this year than in the same period in 2011. Especially the spring months were weak. The new TV channels may bring prosperity as well as the fourth mobile operator and of course the Christmas season.
The Hungarian advertising market continues to perform poorly – shows the datas of Kantar Media. Companies in Hungary spent 4.4 percent less on advertising in the first half of this year, than in the same period of 2011. The spring months were characterized by a particularly high, averaging 8 percent minuses, while in advertising market point of view, this is traditionally one of the strongest period of the year. It is possible of course, that the launch of the new TV channels, the year-end holidays, or perhaps the fourth mobile operator will bring the long-awaited revival, and at the end of December the balance will improve somewhat.
