We visit shopping centres less frequently
GfK Hungária’s latest (July 2010) survey on shopping centres reveals that the number of those going to shopping malls one or more times per week slightly fell, and the proportion of those who only visit these places once a month increased. GfK Hungária examined four shop types: 1. shopping centres or malls, separating those situated in the centre and those in the outskirts; 2. separate shops in malls; 3. individual shops (one shop type inside a building and the building is not located on the shopping street) 4. shops on the shopping street in the city centre. János Kui, GfK Hungária’s commercial sector manager told our magazine that individual shops are the most popular, more than one third of the population prefer these. One quarter of shoppers opt for shopping centres in the outskirts, while one fifth visit shopping malls in the city centre.
