Fewer hotel guests outside Budapest
The occupancy rate for 3.4 and 5 star hotels was 50 per cent in the first four months of the year. Gross room revenues were up by 6 per cent, compared to the same period n 2007. The number of nights spent in hotels was down by 1.5 per cent as a result of a recession outside Budapest. The overall average room rate was HUF 17,000, while it was HUF 33,800 for 5 star hotels in Budapest.
