Hungarians drink less roast coffee between January-Mai 2008
Since many years the market growth comes from 3 in 1 segment.
According to GfK Hungária
research company 8% less roast coffee was sold in the first 5 months
2008 as a year before. It comes not only because of 8% price
increase, but households bought also less coffee as before. In 2007
the consumption was 2.09 kg/households, in 2008 (January-Mai) it was
no more than 1.79 kilos.
The demand for 3in1 products grow
year-to year double digit, this year's periode 18% more 3in1 coffee
products was sold as a year before.
The most coffee were sold in
hypermarkets and discounts chains.
