Less detergent sold in promotion
Detergent retail sales in January-October 2012 surpassed HUF 27 billion. Value sales didn’t change from the base period but volume sales fell 9 percent, according to the Nielsen Retail Index. Manufacturer brands’ share from value sales was 89 percent in January-June 2012 – down 2 percentage points. While in the first seven months of 2010 56 percent of detergent sales was realised in promotion, in 2011 this ratio was only 51 percent.
