Less foreign, more domestic tourism nights

There is a significantly growth at the tourism nights of the internal tourist in high category hotels, it was 31% at 5 stars hotels and 21% at 4 stars hotels in the first 8 months of the year.

According to KSH the tourism nights rose less than 1 per
cent at public accommodation establishments in comparison with the data of the
same period of the previous year. The gross income of public accommodation
establishments grew by 4 percent at current prices, and took the HUF 161
billion.
2.3 million foreign and 2.8 domestic tourists were
registered between Januar – August 2007. The Holiday cheques were used in value
of HUF 17.6 billion.
