Less sausage and salami sold in the first four months
Gfk Hungária’s data indicate that Hungarian households purchased less sausage and salami than a year ago. In the first four months of 2009 sausage sales went down by 7 percent, while salami sales decreased by more than 17 percent. The thick sausage segment sharply declined by 19 percent in terms of quantity, but thin sausage sales improved by 5 percent. As for salamis, the number of households buying the category was reduced by more than 15 percent.
