Less melons may be imported this year
After the previous years, this year's market was more favorable to producers, but the fruit will be more expensive than last year – Népszabadság Online wrote.
Oravecz Tamás, president of the Hungarian Melon Growers Association considered this year’s crop as “Good strong medium”: rains in the early spring and summer left marks on the crop, but the bulk of the melon-producing areas, Békés and Nyírség fortunately were not affected by the water.
