Less mosquitos, but more moth last summer
According to Nielsen's Retail Index last year fall the demand of insecticides in retail, but request of mothpowder increased.
The whole market is HUF 3,5 billion,
last year the sales fell by 5% in volume and 2% in value compare with
2006. Last year we got a realy hot and dry summer, there weren't any
mosquitos invasion in Budapest or at Lake Balaton or Lake Velencei.
80% of insecticides are sold in
hypermarkets and drogeries and in domestic retail chains. The
greatest segment is the aerosol, it grow from 38 to 40%, the share of
creamy insecticides dereased from 19 to 13%. The sale of moth powder
grow to 12%.
