Double differences in food prices in EU countries
Last year, more than twice differences were measured in average food prices in the European Union. Foods and drinks were the cheapest in Poland, while the most expensive in Denmark – the European Union's statistical office (Eurostat) reported on Wednesday.
The value of the consumer basket containing food and soft drinks in Denmark was 145 per cent of the EU average in 2015, while in Poland irt was 63 per cent. Denmark was followed by Sweden with 124 per cent, Austria with 120 per cent, and Ireland and Finland with both 119 per cent. (MTI)
