Two hundred thousand more children in need can get free lunches during the summer

Up to 208 thousand children can get lunch on weekdays during the summer holiday after the government made it mandatory for local authorities – the Minister of State of the Ministry of Human Resources (Emmi) told on Thursday.

Czibere Károly told that this year a total of 5.3 billion HUF is spent on children nutrition for disadvantaged children – for a total of 70 holiday days – in child protection institutes. He indicated that last year the amount was 3 billion HUF and the local governments had to apply for the support. (MTI)
